Pulling from a vast array of influences, Tryouts effortlessly interlaces passages of relentless electronica, baths of shoegaze guitars, atmospheric post rock interludes, and ambient soundscapes punctuated by a hint of drone and improvised noise. Socially, SNAFU represents a contrast between light and dark, between order and chaos, between periods of pure elation and uncertainty. Awinding path of emotional catharsis, SNAFU packs a lot of surprises in its concise 22 minute runtime.
